When I first came to live in the Netherlands with my family, it quickly became very homely
and I soon got the old-fashioned, warm feeling at Christmas that I was used to from Suriname.
We create a place where the spirit of Christmas is celebrated in every product
I felt like my Christmas wasn't quite complete. Then I thought, "There's an easier way!" That's why I decided to give Surinamese people in the Netherlands the full Christmas feeling and started "SurinaamsKerstbrood.nl." Happy Holidays!
Yet something was missing, and I missed authentic Surinamese Christmas breads. Dutch Christmas loaves tasted different. The taste of a Surinamese Christmas loaf evokes a familiar feeling. It’s when you truly realize it’s Christmas again. The flavor, texture, and aroma make it a true Surinamese spectacle, and every year I had a Christmas loaf shipped from Suriname. Sometimes people forgot to bring it.
